The idea for a Eurofurries Mailing List (EFML) was born during the first Eurofurence, which took place Summer 1995 in Tes-Tui-H'ar's parents' house in Kaiser-Wilhelm-Koog near Hamburg, Germany. The initial purpose of the Mailing List was to keep contact among the participants of the first european gathering and to offer freshfurs a starting point. At this time, the number of furs in the "old world" was low and it was luck to find a like-minded person.
More than two year later the situation has fortunately changed. It's impossible to keep track of everyfur out there and the number of subscribers of the Mailing List has exceeded eigthy furs. But the whole fandom in Europe is much larger and still growing fast.
The EFML today is the platform to discuss the planning of the next Eurofurence or to announce a furry meeting in Norway, Germany, the UK or somewhere else. Sometimes a couple of furs just quarrel about things of no importance, but that's the european family. All the furs from the different countries are giving the european fandom a unique face and I really like it!
