| The Anthrology is a setting I started ages ago when someone known to me as
Howling Heart posted a story to a newsgroup called alt.horror.werewolves
called "Treading the Edge." In it, he showed a world much as it
is today, but with the added fact that werewolves and other shapeshifters
were real. I took that idea and bent it to my own will. In his world,
shifters had to wear dog tags. In mine, shifters are all permanently tagged
with an encoded earpiece much like a radio marker for wild animals. I think
my setting turned out much darker than his. |

I wrote "An Unexpected Visit" after falling for a pen-pal. For future
reference, don't ask me to write a story about you. Typically, a story's not
interesting unless you hurt the main characters. No, that's not why the
relationship didn't work. It just came to mind.
Oh well, at least something nice came out of the adventure. I hope you enjoy
